A Message from our Founder,
Chiqueta Battle Grant
When my son, Brian, was taken from us far too soon, I promised myself his life and his legacy would never be forgotten. Brian lived by values that can change lives — perseverance, faith, and transformation. He believed in second chances. He believed in people when the world had given up on them. And he showed, every day, that with the right support, anyone can rise again.
I founded the Brian Battle Foundation to carry that belief forward — to create opportunities for people who are ready to rebuild their lives, but just need someone to believe in them. Through mentorship, career development, housing support, and life-changing programs, we provide the tools, the structure, and the encouragement that help people stand on their own again.
Our partnership with Battle Built Housing is one of the clearest examples of our mission in action. This is much different from a shelter. This is a safe, structured home where residents can reclaim stability, dignity, and purpose. In addition, our CDL and skilled trade scholarships, job readiness tools, and transitional guidance help break the cycle of homelessness and poverty for good.
But the truth is, the need is greater than we can meet alone. Every day, I see individuals turned away because we simply do not have the space, or aspiring workers who cannot afford the final step toward a career. These are determined, capable people. They are simply missing the resources.
This is where you come in.
With your sponsorship, grant support, or corporate partnership, we can:
-
Expand housing capacity and serve more individuals in transition
-
Provide meal assistance and essentials to residents as they stabilize
-
Offer more career-training scholarships for sustainable employment
-
Deliver proven, measurable programs that transform lives
We are ready for partnership. Our programs are structured, our leadership team is committed, and our impact is documented. Your investment will go directly toward tangible, trackable results — and together, we will honor Brian’s legacy by making the kind of change he believed was possible.
From my heart to yours, thank you for believing in second chances.
Let’s give hope a home.
